Getting Help: Grant Skuid Login Rights to your Org

Note

This document is geared towards our customers that have paid support. If you do not have a paid support account, head over to the Skuid Community to ask your question and get help there.

There are times when you need help with your Skuid pages, and we are here to help.

In this document we will walk you through the 3 key steps you need in order to create a support ticket.

Support checklist for getting started

  1. Grant Skuid access to your org
  2. Locate your Salesforce Org ID
  3. Provide your Salesforce Org ID by adding the ID to the support ticket or by emailing the ID to your support representative.

First, as part of the support process, we will most likely need you to give us access to your org so we can see what’s going on.

Salesforce has created a really powerful and secure way for us to do this. Don’t send us your Username and Password. (Just don’t!) Follow this tutorial and set up login rights.

Second, share your Salesforce Org ID with us so that our support team can find your correct environment.

And third, let us know with an email or in your support ticket that you have completed these steps so that we can get started assisting you and your team. Include your Salesforce Org ID in your reply. As soon as we have all of that, we can jump in and troubleshoot your Skuid page(s).

Step 1

Depending on your org there are 2 different ways to Grant Login Access.

  • Click Setup > Company Profile > Company Information > Grant Login Access > Skuid Support > 1 week > Click Save.
  • Click your avatar > My Settings > Personal > Grant Login Access > Skuid Support > 1 week > Click Save.

Note

Even though 1 to 3 days is enough to help you get straightened out, we ask that you select 1 week to make sure we have time to test it with you and make sure everything is working correctly without having to repeat this process over again.

Step 2

Next, locate your Salesforce org ID and paste it into your support ticket. (Without your org ID, we won’t be able to know what org you’ve granted us access to.)

  • Go to Setup > Company Profile > Company Information. Once you’re on the Company Information page, look for the field labeled Salesforce.com Organization ID.
  • There will be a 15 digit ID in the field. That’s your org ID. Copy that ID and paste it into your email or support ticket..

Once you’ve granted login rights and provided Skuid your org ID, we’ll be able to access your org and figure out what’s going on.

Step 3

Let us know your Salesforce Org ID by adding the ID to the support ticket or by emailing the ID to your support representative.

Great job! Review the support checklist to ensure that Skuid can begin troubleshooting your issue.
